Dr Corlene Schnetler

Periodontist

Dr Corlene Schnetler joined Cape Periodontal Specialists as a partner in 2019.

Corlene is very passionate about her profession, particularly the fields of periodontics, oral medicine and implantology and about training and education. Lecturing and education help her stay at the forefront of current trends and technology that will greatly benefit her patients.

Dr Schnetler completed her undergraduate dental training at the University of Pretoria. Later, she completed a four-year full-time specialization course leading to a degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics with distinction (Cum Laude) at the University of Pretoria.

During her time as a clinical registrar, she was a facilitator of numerous implantology courses held at the University of Pretoria. She is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) and became a Fellow of the ITI in 2018.

Dr Schnetler is a regular speaker at both national and international conferences in the field of dental implantology and is involved in the training and education of dentists. She is a member of the Women in Implantology Network (WIN) and was recently selected to be a young speaker at the ITI World Symposium in Singapore.

Dr Schnetler is part of the task force for the Young ITI South Africa and has organized numerous education days and events since its inception in 2018. She is currently a lecturer at the Bridge program and the Implant Aesthetic Academy.

Dr Schnetler takes great pride in providing the best care for her patients. She believes that prevention is better than cure, which is why she gives her patients sound advice on how to preserve their oral health and prevent oral diseases.
